Tire and Battery Center Team Leader

Position Summary As a Tire and Battery Center Services Lead you will drive member service in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver safe and efficient services. You will model expertise in Tire and Battery Center and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. Responsibilities Supervise the Tire and Battery Center to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the club’s success. Communicate department goals, set guidelines and expectations for tire and battery service, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for the member, associate, and company. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of business floor safety, compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality to ensure consistent performance. Share knowledge and train the team; keep the team updated on new products and technologies. Leverage learning resources, attend trainings and conferences to drive continuous improvement. Use digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training. Be an early adopter of new tools and encourage others to use them. Own the business results, maintain operational excellence, and keep a neat, clean, and safe work area for the team and members. Proactively plan, order equipment, tools, and supplies; monitor expense controls. Track and monitor returns and special orders; assist in staffing and scheduling. Operate cash registers, process transactions, and support member service physically when required. Maintain accurate inventory, audit safety and compliance standards, complete paperwork and logs, and model commitment to member service. Train and teach the team to be highly effective; monitor e‑learning and training completion. Identify potential in associates, develop necessary skills, encourage career growth, and source new talent internally and externally. Communicate processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners. Analyze information, monitor progress, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans. Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; explain and demonstrate how to apply them. Lead and participate in teams, share resources, determine customer needs, coordinate work assignments, provide advice, feedback, and support, and model adaptability to change. Respect diversity, build strong relationships, communicate with impact, energy, and positivity, and motivate others. Mentor, develop, and recognize contributions of team members. Hourly wage range: $23.50 to $31.50 (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage for the job location). Additional premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Minimum Qualifications At least 6 months supervisory experience or 6 months experience in the automotive industry. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired. Preferred Qualifications Supervisory experience in the Tire Industry.
