Payroll Assistant EDUCATION: AS or BS in HR or business COMPANY: MNP, LLC, a Fontana Gruppo Company WEBSITE: ADDRESS: 44225 Utica Road, Utica, Michigan PURPOSE: The Payroll Assistant is responsible for supporting payroll operations, including processing pay, maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with tax and wage regulations, and responding to employee payroll questions. This role is onsite and works directly with the payroll and human resources team. KEYS TO HIRE: Detail-oriented and willing to learn. Must be approachable and flexible. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year of payroll experience Experience in creating positive written communications Experience working in a team Knowledge of payroll laws Excellent computer skills especially with Excel, Word, and Outlook

RESPONSIBILITIES: Supporting and driving results, responsibilities include (but are not limited to) assisting with: Processing payroll, weekly and biweekly, including hourly and salaried employees Reconciling timekeeping data, resolve missed punches and discrepancies with supervisors and others. Entering and maintaining new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, etc. Maintaining accurate vacation, sick time and other leave balances in accordance with company policies Processing benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, garnishments, child support orders, etc. Year-end paperwork including W-2 preparation and other tax related activities Responding to employee questions about pay and deductions Verification of employment, unemployment claims and related documentation Safeguarding sensitive employee information and following wage and hour requirements Supporting additional HR functions and events; cross-training in other HR functions Demonstrating MNP's core values of humility, dedication, compassion, trust and integrity in daily work BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, Long-term Disability, Short-term Disability, 401(k), 401(k) match, and Discretionary Bonus.
