Greater Maryland Oral Surgery is looking for a Dental Billing Clerk in Gaithersburg, Maryland to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Insurance & Billing Support: Process dental insurance claims, verify patient benefits, post insurance and patient payments, and follow up on outstanding claims and accounts receivable.
• Patient Account Management: Prepare and review patient statements, explain treatment estimates and payment options, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
• Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, assist with scheduling and patient intake as needed, and ensure all billing information is up to date.
• Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow office billing procedures and workplace regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical and front office teams to support smooth daily operations and provide a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of dental billing, insurance coordination, or dental office experience
• Knowledge of dental insurance claims processing and billing procedures
• Experience with dental practice management software WinOMS preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a patient-focused environment
