About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience of 6 - Charting system experience preferred Description: Unit details include diagnoses such as general medical-surgical, peritoneal dialysis, and radial bands recovery. Weekend coverage is every other weekend. No call required. Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice as needed. The unit typically accommodates an adult and geriatric patient population with a daily census of approximately 20. There are 20 beds available for patient care. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Full compliance is required; delays may result in an extended onboarding process. Work during major holidays may be required, with expectations set based on the number of holidays falling within the assignment period. No local candidates may be considered for this position.
