What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality care to oncology patients on a telemetry PCU.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and manage IV therapies.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as B450 monitors, PCA pumps, and vent settings.
• Follow infection prevention protocols and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and respond to rapid response calls.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently.
• Float within units of similar acuity when needed.

What You Need:

• Ohio RN license with active registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, including 1 year in PCU.
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV medication management, and cardiac drips.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BCLS), ACLS, NIH.
• Strong skills in trach care, port access, blood administration, and telemetry.
• Preferred but not required: Chemotherapy administration, wound care, arterial line management, non-invasive airway management, and previous travel experience.

About the Assignment:

You will work in a dedicated oncology telemetry unit specializing in high-acuity patient care, including adult and pediatric oncology cases. The unit primarily handles solid tumors, orthopedic and thoracic oncology, providing a dynamic and fulfilling environment. The schedule offers flexibility with rotating shifts, designed to balance your professional growth with personal needs.
