Discovery Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Discovery Attorney to join their team in Seattle, Washington. This role is ideal for those who prefer working on detailed projects rather than appearing in court. The position involves managing the discovery process in family law matters, collaborating with a dedicated paralegal, and supporting clients with a focus on detail and strategy. Duties Oversee and manage the discovery process for a full caseload. Draft and review interrogatories, requests for production, and subpoenas. Organize and maintain discovery-related workflows and client materials. Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals on litigation strategy. Provide proactive suggestions for trial preparation and discovery enhancements. Ensure compliance with firm policies on scheduling and client communication. Requirements Washington State Bar admission. At least four years of experience in family law or civil litigation. Proficiency in e-filing and legal technology, including ShareFile and MS Office 365. Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail. Interpersonal skills and a desire to assist clients through legal challenges. Collaborative mindset and commitment to the firm's team culture. Ability to meet billable hour requirements while maintaining high-quality work. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Washington State. Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and writing abilities.
