CNC Machinist

Finish Turn OperatorSuperior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Finish Turn Operator for our operation in Pittsburgh, PA. The Finish Turn Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a CNC lathe to machine our forged rolls. Competitive wage starting at $23/hr. commensurate with experience, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), additional paid relief days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program, in which employees can earn up to an additional $3 per hour.Responsibilities:Set up and operate lathe and controllerInspect forging/roll; report any deviation from specificationMachine forging/roll to specificationPreventative maintenance on lathePerform other department duties, as assignedPhysical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. occasionally throughout shiftExposed to seasonal temperature changesManufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibrationQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious CNC or machining experience preferred but not requiredPrevious experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery preferredMust be able to read/interpret blueprintsGood math skillsStrong attention to detailBasic problem solving and troubleshooting skillsMust be able to pass criminal background check and drug screenClassification: HourlyBenefits:Eligible after 30 days; medical/prescription drug coverage, dental, vision insurances, company provided Basic Life and AD&D insurance, additional voluntary benefits including hospital indemnity, accident and critical illness insurance, paid holidays, company paid safety shoes and prescription safety glasses.Eligible at 90 days; Participation in the production incentive pay program (potential to add $1-$3 per hour to base pay, based on production)Eligible after 90 days; paid relief days, Paid Time Off (PTO), employee referral programEligible after 6 months; 401K programSuperior Forge & Steel Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
