Senior Operations Manager – Internal Medicine Clinic (Full Time) This Senior Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring high quality patient care, efficient clinic operations, and effective human resources management across the Center for Advanced Lung Disease, Anton Yelchin Cystic Fibrosis, HC2 Internal Medicine clinics, and the soon‑to‑be opened Sleep Medicine Clinic at Verdugo Hills Hospital. The role collaborates closely with administrative leaders, clinical departments, and medical staff to deliver exceptional patient services and a positive care experience. Essential Duties Project Management – Collaborate with management on planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing activities; manage multiple tasks and deadlines; produce accurate program descriptions, budgets, schedules; lead continuous process improvement. Business Analysis – Analyze information, identify and define problems, recommend solutions, produce reports, support accreditation, measure clinical performance, apply data‑driven insights. Communication and Interpersonal – Develop and maintain effective relations with staff, faculty, patients, and families; convey complex problems; foster a positive, collaborative environment; promote shared decision‑making. Management – Oversee quality performance, patient satisfaction, budgeting, staff workflow, policy development, patient throughput, workforce engagement; lead supervisors in operational budgets; identify learning opportunities and train staff; oversee day‑to‑day clinic operations. Other Duties – Perform other duties as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Minimum five years of experience in strategic business development and/or ambulatory operations with progressively responsible roles. At least three years of experience leading and facilitating work teams for change management. Comprehensive understanding of process redesign or continuous quality improvement methodology and tools. Project Management – develop plans, monitor activity, facilitate progress and documentation, manage resources and profitability. Analytical and Problem‑Solving – conduct cost‑benefit analysis, complete multiple large projects simultaneously, respond to crises effectively. Communication – influence senior management, facilitate meetings, collaborate across constituencies; advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Access, Project). Proficient PC skills, working knowledge of databases and spreadsheets. Knowledge of operational, clinical, and financial business statistics and data analysis techniques. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field. Managerial experience with direct supervisory responsibility of nonclinical and/or clinical staff. Experience in patient satisfaction programs. Experience with compliance. Required Licenses/Certifications Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). Must be obtained within 30 days if not already held.
