Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its Troy, Michigan location to perform routine and complex laboratory testing procedures, operate instrumentation, and ensure specimen quality and accuracy. The role works evening and overnight shifts with rotating weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures following departmental protocols
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials
Report accurate and timely test results and document preventive maintenance procedures

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Flexibility to work overtime and alternative shifts as needed
