Open up opportunities with HPE.Job Description:Job Family Definition:Research, designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports software applications, automation solutions, and engineering tools that enable High-Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Center Operations, and Engineering Workflows.Partners with engineers, system administrators, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions that improve productivity, operational efficiency, and user experience. Work may include application development, automation, system integrations, APIs, databases, infrastructure management tools, and cloud-based technologies. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing solutions, software development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing application support. Ensures solutions align with security, performance, reliability, and maintainability standards while supporting strategic business objectives.Supports a broad range of users, including HPC and AI teams, infrastructure and operations organizations, data center personnel, software development teams, and other groups that rely on advanced computing platforms and services.Management Level Definition:Applies intermediate-level expertise to solve routine and moderately complex technical challenges. Works independently within established processes and guidelines, using sound judgment to analyze issues, identify solutions, and recommend appropriate actions. Contributes as a knowledgeable team member, collaborating with stakeholders to support project and operational goals while requiring moderate supervision for more complex or unfamiliar situations.Responsibilities: Participate as a member of development team to perform basic analysis of functional or business requirements. Prepare and executes unit tests through applying advanced technical knowledge to maintain a technology area (e.g. Database Administration).Contribute to solution design and implementation for moderately complex projects.Deploy and support infrastructures, applications, and services using company and third-party technologies. Implement end- user, enterprise infrastructure or services prepared by senior technologist.Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or a Master's degree with up to 2 years of experienceMinimum of 2 years of software development experience.Experience working through the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.Experience working in a collaborative technical or engineering environment.Knowledge and Skills: 2+ years of software development experience using Python or similar programming languages.Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Experience with modern software development frameworks such as Django, Flask, .NET, Spring, or similar technologies.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Understanding of application security principles, authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.Understanding of software testing methodologies, automated testing, and quality assurance practices.Knowledge of web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React.Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line administration.Basic understanding of database design, SQL development, and performance optimization.Working knowledge with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation platforms such as GitHub Actions.Familiarity with SOAP services and legacy application integration.Experience using Git-based source control systems including GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, and branch management.AccessibilityHPE is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including those with disabilities.
