Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule
Weekend requirement: 3 out of 6 shifts.

Requirements
- Valid RN license required.
- 3 years of RN experience.
- Experience with a patient ratio of 4:1.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC preferred; TNCC may be accepted if willing to obtain prior to start).
- Experience with Epic charting system required.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including triaging and managing emergencies ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory care, radiology, and social services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in trauma and emergency care procedures, including airway management, IV/vasopressor management, and blood product administration.
- Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively, following protocols for critical care interventions.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 40 hours.
- Pre-approved time off: 2 days.
- RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days.
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Floating may be required within the facility or to sister/affiliate facilities.
- May wear own scrubs (no prints).
