Extrusion Blend Plant 3rd Shift

Job Description

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour, plus $2.50 per hour shift differential

Shift: 11PM-7AM - Sunday-Thursday

The Blend Plant Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating blending equipment at the Extrusion facility in Rocky Mount, to manufacture lineal products according to specifications, quality standards, and production schedules. This role ensures accurate ingredient handling, equipment operation, and adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate blending, mixing, and related production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Measure, weigh, and add raw materials and ingredients accurately based on production formulas.
• Monitor blending processes, temperatures, pressures, and batch times to ensure product quality.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
• Record production data, batch records, and quality checks accurately and completely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with housekeeping and safety standards.
• Follow all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including proper use of PPE.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to report equipment issues or product deviations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transferring materials as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
