We are hiring for our client an experienced and hands-on IT Director to lead the organization's technology strategy, infrastructure, and software development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who combines strategic planning with the ability to actively participate in network architecture, systems administration, cybersecurity, and application development. This role requires a leader who can mentor technical teams while remaining directly involved in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the organization's IT strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead and manage IT operations, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and software development teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructure.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and cloud connectivity.
• Participate in software design, coding, code reviews, and application architecture when required.
• Oversee system administration, server management, virtualization, cloud services, and disaster recovery planning.
• Establish and enforce IT security policies, compliance standards, and best practices.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, licensing, and technology procurement.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Develop IT policies, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, system integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Provide executive leadership with technology recommendations, risk assessments, and project updates.
• Mentor and develop IT staff while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Respond to critical incidents and provide hands-on technical support during high-priority outages or emergencies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and technical teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
• Demonstrated coding experience in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar.
• Experience with database technologies including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience administering cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity management, endpoint security, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Experience leading technology projects from planning through implementation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
