Field Service Technician

Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified Field Service Technician to provide technical support in Paramus NJ and surrounding areas. This role will support multiple store locations and requires consistent daily travel throughout the assigned route. Duties and Responsibilities : Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts Manage triage, troubleshooting and resolution to client scope on IT equipment Occasionally works at heights of 20’ to 25’, lift equipment training provided Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases/tickets daily Skills and Qualifications : Minimum 1+ year of IT technical support experience A+ CompTIA certification required Technical hardware experience required Net+ CompTIA certification is a plus Field service experience preferred Exceptional Customer Service and relationship building competence Excellent time management and reporting skill Familiar with various operating systems (e.g. - Windows OS, OSX, Linux/Unix) Experience desired in copper and fiber cabling and various terminating connectors Proficient communicator with emotional intelligence insight for explaining IT terminologies at the client’s level of understanding Insight to POS, PC, Printers, Thin Clients, AP’s, Servers, Network switch equipment Able to lift 25lbs. Wage Range : The rate for this position is between $18.75 - $25.00 per hour , unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
