Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Basil Family Dealerships is growing, and we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Title Clerk to join our team at our Amherst administrative office. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate vehicle processing, dealership compliance, and accounting support across our organization.

What You'll Do:

Process vehicle titles and registration paperwork accurately and efficiently
Submit all required paperwork to the DMV in a timely manner
Stock vehicles into CDK/VERFI upon purchase
Break down vehicle deals and verify documentation completeness
Process pay-off checks for trade-ins and mail payments to the appropriate financial institutions
Ensure compliance with all New York State and Federal dealership guidelines
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Create, review, and send invoices
Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile all accounts to general ledger balances monthly
Maintain accurate financial records and dealership documentation
Assist with month-end closing and reporting
Prepare accurate reporting of daily transactions and business activity
Communicate with vendors, lenders, and internal teams regarding billing or title issues

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Previous dealership title clerk or automotive accounting experience preferred
Familiarity with CDK and VERFI systems is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Working knowledge of DMV processes and dealership compliance standards preferred
