Instituto Familiar de la Raza, Inc. is a multi-service community health and social service agency with an emphasis on serving the Chicano/Latino/Indígena community in San Francisco with a special focus on the diverse needs of the Mission District. Services include a wide range of mental health, HIV-related services, and social services, including health promotion, education, prevention, early intervention, case management, and psychological and psychiatric interventions, as well as cultural/social and spiritual re-enforcement. The agency serves children, youth, adults, and families. It has a rich history of working collaboratively with other agencies to meet the needs of the Chicano/Latino/Indígena community and other cultural/racial communities in San Francisco. Job/Program Description The La Cultura Cura Program (LCC) offers a range of services and opportunities to young people ages 12-24 and their families with a particular emphasis on youth that are, impacted by community and interpersonal violence, need access to mental and emotional support, and/or have had contact with/or are at risk of interfacing with legal and criminal justice systems. La Cultura Cura offers mental health and group services, as well as care management in different community settings. Through the program, youth participants have access to culturally oriented, structured enrichment programs. We are seeking an energetic, bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed mental health professional. The ideal candidate is someone who can demonstrate cultural competency in addressing the diversity of the community being served, including gender, race, language, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status. The successful applicant will provide clinical consultation and individual, triadic and/or group supervision to mental health associates, intern trainees, and para-professionals. This role will participate in quality assurance and improvement spaces to assure ethnical and culturally responsive service delivery within a standard of quality care, which includes clinical case management, family-focused interventions, and community interventions. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated and community-driven professional who has a passion for youth development work, is knowledgeable of community resources available in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, and has experience working in violence prevention, restorative practices, knowledge of legal justice systems, and behavioral health systems. Essential Job Duties are, but are not limited to the following: Clinical Supervision and Consultation Scope of Work: Responsible for reviewing mental health assessment of client’s needs, risks and strengths, and level of readiness as a way of ensuring an appropriate level of services at intake screening and registration Reviews progress notes, billing sheets, and charts; and is HIPAA compliant and complies with DPH standards for supervisees. Conducts and facilitates care conferencing with the clients, caregivers and other service providers to coordinate care and set appropriate action goals Participates in agency meetings and IFR-sponsored cultural community events Complies with all legal and ethical requirements set forth by the Board of Behavioral Science and with the policies of the San Francisco Behavioral Health Department Provides clinical supervision to Behavioral Health Practitioners, including associate clinicians and graduate interns, which includes signing BBS hours Is responsible for Quality assurance of clinical services provided by staff under supervision and co-facilitates PURQC meetings while working closely with LCC Program Coordinator Attends CBHS System of Care meetings, trainings, and implements policies and procedures Provides crisis stabilization consultation and support to LCC providers on an as‑needed basis Facilitates group clinical supervision meetings for LCC clinicians and interns and care development meetings for para-professional care Managers and group facilitators Facilitates case development meetings with LCC group facilitators and care managers. Works closely with the LCC Administrative staff and Program Director on program design, planning, hiring prevention staff, and service delivery implementation Perform other duties as assigned within scope REQUIRED SKILLS: Bilingual English-Spanish and bi-cultural Minimum of two years’ experience providing clinical supervision to mental health providers At least 5 years of experience providing services to youth ages 12-24 experiencing mental health needs and their families Experience providing family therapy and/parent-child psychotherapy Ability to provide mental health services to the target population with an emphasis on working with Chicanx/Latinx/Indigenous communities Capacity to provide trauma-informed services with trauma recovery best practices Experience in providing group treatment facilitation Ability to interface with multiple systems, including JPD, Adult probation and SFUSD sites Understanding, working, and knowledge of the needs of immigrant minors, including monolingual immigrant Latinx youth Good written and oral skills Up-to-date with CEU requirements to supervise BBS hours Ability to work a flexible schedule at multiple locations PREFERRED SKILLS: Knowledge of CANS/ANSA tools and electronic health documentation systems (Epic) Knowledge of Medi-Cal billing EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSES Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field California Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Science Office or with the Psychology Board CONDITIONS OF CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT Must pass and maintain annual Tuberculosis Test (TB) Must pass the Department of Justice Fingerprint screening Complete annual recurrent online training Salary Range: This is a part-time exempt position with benefits at 20 hours per week ; with an annual salary range of $54,852.92 - $61,708.52 prorated to reflect .58% FTE. The prorated annual salary is Commensurate with work experience, qualifications, and education. All full-time positions are based on a minimum of thirty-five (35) hours per week. Also position at IFR working 17.50 hours per week or more, participate in health benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Flexible Spending Accounts, as well as other benefits. This is a part-time exempt position at 20 hours a week. The position is eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) plans, earn vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, two wellness days (birthday and hire date) and receive ongoing opportunities for learning.
