Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD among patients.
• Administer medication management services, making necessary adjustments based on the effectiveness of treatment and side effect monitoring.
• Work collaboratively with primary care providers and allied team members to create cohesive treatment plans for patients, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Provide crisis intervention during acute mental health episodes, demonstrating critical decision-making and compassionate support.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about mental health issues, educating the public on available services and resources.
• Deliver therapeutic support through individual counseling and psychoeducation tailored to the needs of diverse patients.
• Maintain accurate and secure patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of patient information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve residents of an assisted living facility, consisting of individuals with various psychiatric conditions who require dedicated support. Our patient population includes older adults grappling with age-related mental health challenges, individuals recovering from trauma, and those managing chronic mental health disorders. Your contributions will be critical in helping these individuals navigate their mental health journeys and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with psychiatric specialization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in psychiatric evaluation and management.
