Work Environment

Our work facility is an outpatient office located in the heart of Huntington, New York, offering a welcoming and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Here, you will find a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to integrated behavioral health care, working together to address the physical and mental health needs of our patients. In addition to a supportive culture, you will work during regular business hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions and monitor ongoing progress.
• Provide effective medication management, including prescribing medications, adjusting dosages, and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans that address both mental and physical health needs.
• Offer timely crisis intervention and emotional support for patients experiencing acute distress or mental health emergencies.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness and reducing stigma surrounding mental health issues.
• Provide therapeutic support through counseling and psychoeducation tailored to the needs of various individuals and families.
• Maintain meticulous patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing, with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Active state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric focus.
• Strong knowledge of mental health assessment tools, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for building rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health center or similar outpatient environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in providing culturally competent care to diverse populations.
• Previous involvement in educational initiatives or community outreach related to mental health.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 200,000 to 250,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
