Regional Admissions Coordinator, UNLV Undergraduate Recruitment [R0153081] ROLE of the POSITION Reporting to the Assistant Director (AD) for Regional & College Recruitment in the Office of Admissions, the Regional Admissions Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and enrolling undergraduate, graduate, and transfer students from an assigned territory, guiding prospects through the admissions process from initial inquiry through matriculation. The Regional Admissions Coordinator also supervises Regional Counselors/Recruiters and provides leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of regional recruitment strategies. The Regional Admissions Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the Offices of Admissions and Financial Aid, academic units, and other University partners, maintaining a high level of internal and external public contact. In collaboration with the AD for Regional & College Recruitment, the Regional Admissions Coordinator assists with the development and delivery of training for new Regional Counselors and College Recruitment Specialists and contributes to ongoing professional development initiatives throughout each recruitment cycle. The Regional Admissions Coordinator also develops, modifies, and coordinates communication plans for the regional recruitment team. The Regional Admissions Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing recruitment activities within assigned regions, including extensive travel to high schools, community colleges, college fairs, and related events. Outreach efforts include developing and maintaining a personal recruitment schedule; advising prospective students and families regarding educational opportunities and admissions requirements; planning and implementing recruitment programs, special projects, and events targeting specific populations; analyzing recruitment and enrollment trends; delivering presentations to a variety of audiences; assisting with the creation and distribution of recruitment and promotional materials; reviewing applications for admission eligibility; resolving application-related issues; and maintaining accurate records of recruitment activities and contacts. To meet enrollment goals, the Regional Admissions Coordinator implements marketing and outreach strategies established by the Office of Admissions leadership, supports and monitors recruitment activities in assigned territories, and recommends best practices to enhance recruitment effectiveness. The Regional Admissions Coordinator monitors demographic shifts and emerging barriers to enrollment and exercises independent judgment to develop and implement responsive strategies. The position requires frequent travel within assigned regions and occasional out-of-state travel, as well as the ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support recruitment initiatives and events. All positions in Academic Affairs contribute to our core mission: to increase enrollment and promote equitable student success. By addressing systemic obstacles and implementing strategic services, programs, and support, this position will play a part in enhancing student enrollment, retention, successful progression, timely completion, and equitable outcomes, in order to meaningfully contribute to the institution's commitment to expand access, grow enrollment, and promote career-ready student success that leads to timely graduation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 -3 years of Related Professional experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Related experience, particularly in any customer service or public facing type of position. Graduate Assistant positions can substitute for professional experience if in a related area or similar assignments. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance.
