Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified OB Surgical Technologist for a Labor & Delivery unit position requiring NBSTSA certification and OB experience. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience required BLS certification required NBSTSA certification required VA state license required in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable) BSN preferred Epic EMR experience required unless otherwise noted Experience with gynecologic procedures including C-sections, D&C, tubal ligation, and hysterectomy Vaginal delivery, vaginal hysterectomy, and laparoscopic-assisted GYN procedures preferred Cystoscopy and obstetric skills preferred Responsibilities Certified OB/L&D Tech role in a Labor & Delivery unit 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I setting preferred Support surgical and delivery procedures within the Labor & Delivery unit using aseptic technique and sterilization protocols Assist with a range of gynecologic and obstetric cases including cesarean sections and hysterectomies May assist with additional procedures such as cystoscopy or laparoscopic-assisted cases based on unit needs Float within scope of practice as required by facility policy Complete specialty-specific orientation modules during onboarding Maximum of 40 hours of RTO approved per 13-week contract, must be disclosed prior to submission Previous UVA Health employees must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning as a traveler External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once that threshold is reached Selected units, including this one, maintain a 50-mile local travel restriction First-time travelers may be considered for this role Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-762674 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
