Speech Language Pathologist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
• Active Arizona state SLP license is required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience working in an acute care or hospital setting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dysphagia assessment and treatment, including instrumental assessments (FEES or MBS) preferred.
• Experience with trach/vent patients preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and interdisciplinary team communication preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
• Shift Days: Monday through Friday.
• Expected Hours: 40 hours per week.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide skilled evaluation and treatment for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting. Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and rehabilitation teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document patient progress and contribute to discharge planning to support continuity of care.

Experience Nogales, AZ, near the U.S.–Mexico border and the scenic Santa Cruz River corridor. The area offers proximity to Coronado National Forest and hiking in the nearby Patagonia Mountains within a 1–1.5 hour drive. Local cultural attractions include historic downtown districts and frequent cross-border commerce. Outdoor recreation options include birding at Patagonia Lake State Park about a 45–55 minute drive and scenic drives along Highway 82 connecting to Sonoita and wine country.
