Drilling Foreman

Role Description The Drilling Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Davidsonville, MD, responsible for overseeing daily well drilling operations from start to finish. This position leads and directs drilling crews, plans and coordinates work activities, and ensures adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating and supervising heavy drilling equipment, monitoring drilling progress, troubleshooting operational issues, and maintaining accurate job records. The Drilling Foreman also oversees site preparation and cleanup, coordinates material and equipment needs, and communicates with management, clients, and inspectors regarding project status. This role requires hands‑on field work, consistent attention to equipment condition, and a strong focus on safe, efficient, and high-quality drilling practices. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and on-site decision-making. Experience working with heavy equipment, preferably in drilling, construction, or related field operations. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, management, clients, and inspectors. Practical carpentry abilities and general construction knowledge for site preparation and structural support tasks. Maintenance skills for basic troubleshooting and routine upkeep of drilling rigs, tools, and support vehicles. Demonstrated commitment to safety practices, including adherence to OSHA and company safety procedures. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience or CDL is a plus.
