About the role:

The Client Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality, role-based training programs to new and existing clients across all product lines, including EMR, Practice Management (PM), ASC, iOptical, and Patient Engagement solutions. This role focuses exclusively on training delivery and client education through a combination of onsite sessions (10–20% travel), live remote webinars, and structured re-training programs. The Specialist ensures end-user readiness, drives system adoption, and supports ongoing client success through continuous education and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Skills and qualifications (mandatory):

Training Delivery (Onsite & Remote)

• Deliver comprehensive, role-based training for all system modules including EMR, PM, ASC, iOptical, and Patient Engagement. 

• Conduct onsite training sessions at client locations (10–20% travel), including go-live readiness and support. 

• Facilitate live remote training sessions via webinars for individuals and groups. 

• Execute hybrid training programs that combine onsite and virtual learning. 

• Tailor training sessions to align with client workflows, specialties, and user roles (providers, clinical staff, front desk, billing teams, etc.). 

• Ensure all training sessions are engaging, effective, and aligned to adult learning best practices.

New Client Training Programs

• Partner with Project Management teams to deliver training aligned with project timelines.

• Execute structured training plans to prepare clients for go-live.

• Track training completion and user readiness; escalate risks related to incomplete training.

• Partner with Project Management to provide recommendations on training approach based on client size, complexity, and product mix. 

Client Re-Training & Ongoing Education

• Deliver re-training sessions for existing clients, both onsite and via live remote webinars.

• Conduct targeted training to address workflow gaps, low adoption, or staff turnover.

• Lead optimization-focused training sessions to improve efficiency and system utilization.

• Provide ongoing education on new features, system updates, and best practices. 

Training Content Development & Maintenance

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, including:

o Training guides

o Job aids

o Recorded webinars

o Quick reference materials

• Update training curriculum based on product releases, client feedback, and evolving

workflows.

• Contribute to scalable training assets for broader client use (e.g., recorded sessions,

knowledge base content). 

Client Experience & Enablement

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring a positive and effective training experience.

• Build strong relationships with end users and practice leadership.

• Gather and document client feedback to improve training programs and materials.

• Reinforce best practices and standardized workflows across all training engagements.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with Product, Support, and Implementation teams to stay current on system updates and enhancements.

• Provide feedback on product usability and training gaps based on client interactions.

• Participate in internal training sessions and ongoing professional development.

• Maintain expertise across all product modules and workflows. 

Skills and qualifications (mandatory):  

• Proven experience delivering software training, both onsite and via live remote/webinar formats.

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

• Experience training adult learners with varying levels of technical proficiency.

• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple training engagements simultaneously.

• Strong customer service mindset with a focus on client success and adoption.

Skills and qualifications (preferred):  

• Experience with healthcare technology such as EMR/EHR, Practice Management, ASC systems, Optical software, or Patient Engagement platforms.

• Background in ambulatory care, ophthalmology, or clinical/operational healthcare settings.

• Experience developing training materials, curricula, and eLearning content.

• Familiarity with webinar platforms and learning management systems (LMS).

• Experience supporting user adoption and workflow optimization initiatives.

• Technical aptitude with SaaS platforms and ability to quickly learn new systems.

Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 10–20% for onsite client training and go-live support.
