IT Field Technician

Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades on Windows 10 systems and desktop software, including Microsoft Office applications. Provide network support, including LAN/WAN configuration, cable installation (Cat5, Cat6, Fiber), and network communications troubleshooting. Rack and stack equipment in technical environments to ensure system integrity and functionality. Maintain and support communication technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radios. Support mobile device enrollment, application deployment, and updates on iOS platforms. Manage Active Directory user and computer objects and implement basic Group Policy configurations. Document technical processes, incident reports, and maintenance activities accurately within service management systems. Facilitate communication with clients and team members regarding technical issues and solutions. Utilize rental vehicles for daily travel within West Texas, including overnight stays when required. Maintain compliance with safety and operational procedures in technical environments. Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in field technical support, network installation, and troubleshooting. Strong customer service and communication skills. Proficiency in Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and software troubleshooting. Demonstrated capability in hardware installation and troubleshooting. Experience with LAN/WAN technologies, cable installation, and network communications. Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti radio technologies is highly preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Citrix, and Active Directory concepts is advantageous. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate rental vehicles. Ability to travel daily within West Texas, with flexibility for overnight stays. Available to work on-site in Midland, TX.
