Team members join a company focused on reliability, safety, and long-term customer relationships. Role Description This full-time, on-site Accounting Specialist role is based in Sylvania, OH. The Accounting Specialist will perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in accounting software, supporting month-end and year-end closing processes, and monitoring financial transactions for completeness and accuracy. The role also involves collaborating with operations and management to provide financial data, answering internal inquiries, and supporting audits or reviews as needed. The Accounting Specialist will help improve accounting processes and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Qualifications Strong knowledge of finance and the preparation and interpretation of financial statements. Proficiency with accounting software and accurate processing of journal entries. Solid analytical skills for reviewing financial data and reconciling accounts. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in accounting or finance, preferably in transportation, logistics, or related industries. Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
