Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Blue Rhino, a Ferrellgas company is searching for a Maintenance Technician to join the team. Under manager supervision the Maintenance Technician I is responsible for a wide range of daily duties including inspection, maintenance, and repair of facility equipment and systems and documentation of such tasks; all while maintaining safety, productivity and financial responsibility. Typically requires a high school diploma and one year electrical/automation experience in a manufacturing environment..

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30pm-4:30am, Friday based on business need

Pay: $25.00 hourly

Responsibilities

• Ensures daily plant and equipment inspections are conducted and documented appropriately.
• Assists in developing preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment, and ensures schedules are adhered to and documented.
• Monitors equipment for unusual sounds to detect malfunction.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical issues.
• Assists in maintaining spare parts inventory.
• Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Provides technical information and operational guidance to production employees.
• Follows safety rules & procedures including OSHA standards and the Company Process Safety Management program.
• Performs and records periodic testing.
• Maintains a clear sense of priority and focus in support of team performance.
• Identifies improvements in the process's equipment.
• Assists leadership with problem resolution and correction of equipment deficiencies.
• Constantly considers long term upgrades / repairs.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training / technical degree a plus.
• 1+ years of maintenance / mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills with the ability to effectively multi-task.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated track record of being a reliable and dependable worker.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
