Job Opportunity: Academic Surgeon in Colon and Rectal Surgery

Our organization is looking to add an academic surgeon to the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery. The primary qualifications for this role include a strong blend of clinical care, teaching, research that enhances clinical practices, and contributions to the institution. We are currently seeking candidates for faculty roles that may lead to either a term tenure track or a clinical faculty track, depending on the applicant's qualifications and interests.

Key Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Colon and Rectal Surgery or Complex General Surgical Oncology, with specialized experience in the multidisciplinary management of Colon, Rectal, and Anal Cancer.
• A deep commitment to clinical excellence, mentorship, research, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical expertise in colon and rectal surgical care within a multidisciplinary framework.
• Uphold the high standards of our comprehensive colon and rectal cancer program.
• Educate trainees in our Advanced Colon and Rectal Surgical Oncology, Complex General Surgery Oncology, or related residency and fellowship programs.
• Establish a strong research program focused on clinical, health services, data and informatics, or translational science.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate significant scholarly contributions and a strong potential for securing external funding to support their research endeavors.
