HR Generalist & Payroll/AP SpecialistAlta California Regional Center (ACRC) is a non-profit agency under contract to the State of California and for 50 years has provided the coordination of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. ACRC employs over 900 persons working out of eight offices in a ten-county area. ACRC is one of 21 Regional Centers in California.Compensation: The below is dependent on experience and education.$37.03 - $42.84 a yearThe actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.The Position and Job SummaryACRC is seeking an HR Generalist & Payroll/AP Specialist to administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA accommodations, and Workers' Compensation, while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws. This position also supports payroll processing, accounts payable, employee reimbursements, financial reporting, audits, and other related accounting functions. PHR, SPHR, PHR-CA, SPHR-CA, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is strongly preferred. A minimum of one year of progressive experience in Human Resources, accounting, payroll, financial analysis/reporting, or related functions is required, including at least one year of leave of absence administration experience. Nonprofit and/or union experience is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to interpret and consistently apply regulations; strong attention to detail and accuracy; and the ability to manage complex work, meet deadlines, analyze and summarize data, and prepare organized reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment is required. A valid California driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance are required for occasional travel to other ACRC offices.
