Job Opportunity

An international trading company in Portland Office is seeking a sales rep who Support the achievement of the Department's financial goals by maintaining/expanding existing business and supporting the development of new business in Food industry. Sales/Marketing/Budgeting Support budget management of the department. Assist in development of a business plan and sales strategy. Assist in development of new importing & exporting business in the food industry. Negotiates and closes terms of purchase/sales with supplier and customers. Contacting customers. Create new business and/or expand business. Monitors customer's financial situations and payment status. Ensures the business compliance. Researches and analyzes investment opportunities in the North American food industry. Supervises Sales assistant/Logistic specialist. Responsible includes customer service as well as administrative tasks.

Requirements: 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferably in the seafood/marine products industry. Appropriate Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and U.S. Customs is a plus. Knowledge of trade terms and food products. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, closing, persuasive skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to train sales assistant /Logistic specialist Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Proficient with Microsoft Office products Business level Japanese. (speak, read, and write) Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
