The Role

As our Safety & Compliance Manager, you'll take ownership of workplace safety, regulatory compliance, employee training, incident prevention and continuous improvement across our operation.

You'll work directly with management, maintenance, production, logistics and employees to identify risks, develop solutions and make sure safe operating practices become part of how work gets done every day.

The goal isn't simply to respond when something happens.

The goal is to prevent it from happening in the first place.

What You'll Do

• Lead M & F's workplace safety and compliance programs
• Conduct routine facility, equipment and workplace safety inspections
• Identify hazards and drive corrective actions through completion
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve safety policies, procedures and programs
• Coordinate employee safety training and maintain required documentation
• Lead new-hire safety orientation
• Conduct incident and near-miss investigations
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventative corrective actions
• Manage OSHA-related documentation, reporting and compliance requirements
• Partner with Maintenance and Operations on machine safety, guarding and lockout/tagout procedures
• Support ergonomics and injury-prevention initiatives
• Monitor PPE requirements and compliance
• Support driver and fleet safety programs
• Track safety performance, trends and leading indicators
• Partner with management and insurance providers on workers' compensation and injury-prevention initiatives
• Conduct regular safety meetings and reinforce accountability throughout the organization
• Stay current with applicable federal, state and local workplace safety requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who understands that a strong safety program isn't built from paperwork.

It's built on the floor.

You should be comfortable walking the facility, talking with employees, observing how work is actually performed and addressing unsafe conditions before they become incidents.

• Capable of turning regulations into practical operating procedures
• Detail-oriented with documentation and compliance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Passionate about building a culture where employees look out for themselves and each other

Experience in  manufacturing, industrial operations, warehousing, logistics, hospitality, commercial laundry or another safety-sensitive environment is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of California workplace safety requirements and experience with OSHA/Cal/OSHA programs is preferred.

Pay & Position Details

Pay Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience.

Full-Time | Northridge, CA | On-Site
