Lead AI Engineer - Agents & Infrastructure

As Lead AI Engineer, you'll own the platform that makes Delvo's agents capable, reliable, and increasingly autonomous. You'll work directly with the CTO and Product Engineers to turn advances in AI into capabilities customers use.

What you'll own

• Build the engine behind agents: orchestration, context, memory, and programmatic tool calling
• Give agents tools to do real work through sandboxed code execution and permission-aware access to data
• Make agent quality measurable by building evaluations for multi-turn workflows
• Make powerful AI practical at scale through model integration and inference infrastructure
• Multiply what the team can build by creating shared foundations for Product Engineers

What we're looking for

• You've shipped LLM-powered systems used by real customers and owned what happened after launch
• Strong software engineering foundations with depth in TypeScript, optionally Python
• Deep experience with agent execution, tool use, and context management
• You can tell a convincing demo from a dependable system through evaluations
• Experience with sandboxed execution, inference infrastructure, or similarly demanding production systems
• You lead through sound decisions, working code, and helping other engineers succeed

Nice to have: familiarity with evaluation frameworks and failure investigation; procurement background is a plus but not required.

Location: Berlin, in person (Delta Campus, Neukölln). Compensation: competitive salary + meaningful equity.
