Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year of Recent Experience in Specialty License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross Must-Have: - Associate Degree in Nursing - Minimum 1 Year of Recent Experience in the Field Description: This position involves providing care on a medical respiratory unit specializing in acute and chronic respiratory conditions. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. The unit primarily treats patients with pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, and other lung diseases. The nurse will also care for a variety of medical patients with GI issues, diabetes, and occasional stroke and surgical patients. Patients benefit from daily rounds with the entire interdisciplinary team. There is an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit with a 1:4 nursing ratio. This role requires willingness to float to other units as needed. Every other weekend and holidays as required.
