Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance team in Northwest Houston. This role is responsible for supporting the full-cycle payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with applicable payroll regulations. The ideal candidate has hands-on payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working with UKG in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess full-cycle payroll accurately and timelyReview payroll data for accuracy, including hours, earnings, deductions, and adjustmentsProcess payroll changes including new hires, terminations, transfers, and employee updatesEnsure payroll is processed in accordance with company policies and established deadlinesResearch and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee pay issuesUtilize UKG to process payroll and maintain accurate employee payroll recordsMaintain payroll data and employee information within the payroll systemAssist with system updates, payroll reporting, and troubleshooting as neededEnsure accurate payroll records and documentationEnsure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulationsReconcile payroll reports and payroll-related accountsReview payroll taxes, deductions, and other withholdings for accuracyAssist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reportingRespond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll-related issuesMaintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee informationPrepare and distribute payroll reports as neededPartner with HR and Accounting to resolve payroll issues and ensure accurate employee dataAssist with payroll audits and other payroll-related projectsQualifications2+ years of payroll experience preferredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field requiredHands-on experience with UKG requiredExperience processing full-cycle payrollStrong understanding of payroll processes, deductions, and payroll complianceStrong Excel and data management skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational abilitiesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee informationAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlinesHow to ApplyIf you are an experienced Payroll Specialist with UKG experience seeking a direct-hire opportunity in Northwest Houston, we encourage you to apply.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
