Laboratory Assistant

responsibilities:

• Maintain quality control (QC) consumables inventory, stock shelves, and perform regular cycle counts of QC materials.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of laboratory equipment, sample water baths, incubators, and automated system instrumentation.
• Execute QC sample pickups from quality inspection or manufacturing, ensuring accurate transactional logging.
• Manage glass washing, dishwashing, and tube rack washing to keep operations running smoothly.
• Prepare documents for storage in the electronic document management system and manage original data files.

 
qualifications:
Required:

• High School Diploma minimum.
• 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to safely lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Absolute willingness to work with biohazardous substances and bleach.

Preferred:

• Prior experience working in a GMP industrial setting.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and data entry.
• Strong understanding and past demonstration of Good Documentation Practices (GDP), such as maintaining logbooks.
