Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal on-site role supporting students with diverse needs across several schools in the Houston southwest area. This full-time contract opportunity seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver services within a dedicated zone, ensuring manageable commutes and the ability to make a consistent impact. Assignments include 6-7 campuses, with caseloads thoughtfully balanced to keep direct services around 30–40 students and the remainder as consult-only cases. Candidates should expect to work exclusively within the district’s established hours and provide services for students aged 3–21.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Texas (OT licensure required)
• Previous school-based OT or analogous pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Open to experienced COTAs (multiple years in school settings)
• Comfortable working independently—no COTA support provided
• Ability to complete and manage documentation using SHARES and Onward platforms; proficiency in maintaining Excel logs for IEPs
• Willingness to undergo district fingerprinting (unless already on file)
• Cannot have previously been employed by the district

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and develop individualized treatment plans for students, conduct interventions, and participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
• Carry a caseload that balances rotating direct service and consultative responsibilities
• Deliver therapy and treatments on a schedule tailored to each student, ranging from weekly to bi-monthly or as infrequently as every six weeks
• Work harmoniously within a committed team and adapt to the needs of multiple campuses
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by district and IEP standards
