Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an immediate impact supporting students from ages 3 to 21 by providing essential occupational therapy services across 6-7 campuses in the Houston-area. This full-time, on-site, contract position focuses on providing treatment, conducting evaluations, and participating in ARD meetings throughout an assigned zone, all while maintaining manageable caseloads and a balanced workday.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Active Texas OT license required
• Experience in a school-based setting (highly qualified COTAs with significant school experience may also be considered)
• Capable of managing a diverse age group from preschool to transition-age students (3-21)
• Proficient with documentation using SHARES school health software, Onward, and maintaining Excel logs for IEPs
• Fingerprint clearance (or ability to quickly update credentials if already in the system)
• Strong collaborative skills; ability to take initiative as the lead OT, as there are no COTAs on the team
• Previous employees of the district will not be considered

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative OT services, targeting a caseload of approximately 70 students, with 30-40 receiving direct care on a rotating basis
• Complete student evaluations and attend ARD meetings as a crucial member of the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain organized and thorough documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and IEP goals
• Travel locally within your designated zone—school assignments based on ZIP code minimize travel time between locations
• Collaborate with educators, families, and staff to ensure holistic support for each student
