Weekend Hotel Valet Attendant - Hilton Lincoln Center

SUMMARY The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The role includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting guests with luggage, and ensuring a smooth guest experience. COMPENSATION Hourly base pay range: $10 per hour plus tips ranging from $12 to $14 per hour. WORK SCHEDULE Schedule depends on hotel business volumes and will be discussed during the interview. Shift times range from 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, with a primary shift focus of 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Weekend availability is required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients. Greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor and a salutation of the day. Use guest last names during interactions. Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously, open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests, assist with bell services and luggage storage, and operate manual transmission vehicles as required. Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions. Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests, issue statement checks, and maintain accurate ticket information (key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, claim check receipt). Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when required. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance. Experience: One month related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; standard English reading, writing, and comprehension; basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with American money); understanding of 24-hour and military time; understanding rates applicable to time passed; ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking. WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS The role requires frequent talking or hearing, sitting or standing for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Lifting requirements: up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
