LOGISTICS SPECIALIST TIER I

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

DOMESTIC OPERATIONAL EXECUTION AND OVERSIGHT

• Oversee and manage CDDS domestic warehouse and transload operations and customers as assigned.
• Provide operational oversight and process management of the Century domestic product offering, including:
• Assist in the development of a Standard Operational Procedures (SOP’s) for all accounts and define the scope of services to be delivered.
• Identify necessary resources for success to deliver and execute on customers’ requirements.
• Keep abreast of market activity and position CDDS to minimize any negative impact.
• Deliver and execute on commitments and business attained to further enhance the customers’ view of Century and our reputation in this space.
• Utilize technology (VIZIV) to improve team efficiency.
• Investigate and implement ways to streamline the operations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve operational efficiency with our 3PL service providers and improve Century domestic revenue and gross margin.

NEW ACCOUNT ON-BOARDING

• Assist with new domestic logistics account implementations and onboarding.
• Understand Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for each account to ensure customer expectations and CDDS deliverables are clear and outlined. Establish and define KPI’s that are meaningful and drive service performance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure new accounts are implemented on time and within budget.

TEAM CONTRIBUTION 

• Manage available 3PL resources and logistics partners to accommodate business growth.
• Facilitate effective team interaction. Share knowledge and expertise with the other Century team members to ensure service integrity and cross-functional knowledge. Where appropriate, expand views and knowledge of other core Century offerings (NVOCC, international logistics, OCM).
• Foster a positive working environment by actively demonstrating an attitude of collaboration, teamwork and quality. Acknowledge and appreciate each team member’s contributions.

QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Ensure 3PL partners meet and exceed customer service standards and expectations as defined by individual customer SLA’s (service level agreements).
• Attend customer meetings as needed.
• Review customer processes and suggest opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Conduct job duties with service and quality in mind. Respond to all inquiries (phone, email, other) in a courteous, prompt and efficient manner. 
• Assist Century in meeting the company’s mission to create the most responsive and customized logistics services available in the market. 
• Be a Century advocate, both internally and externally in projecting a professional image of self and the Company.
• Build and enhance Century’s customer relationships by establishing a positive rapport with key contacts.

COST AND BUDGET

• Ensure services are delivered in line with contracted carrier costs.
• Manage services and execution to ensure the contracted provider is delivering within SLA. 
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and enhance gross margin.

• Supply Chain or Logistics Experience a plus
• Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relative field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively conduct face to face meetings with customers 
• Strong analytical skills a must
• Intermediate or Advanced Excel 
• B2B Customer Service Experience
• Highly organized individual with excellent time management skills
• Critical thinking skills and ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
