Accounting ManagerPosition Overview The Accounting Manager will work within the Client Services Department and oversee a team of accountants responsible for managing client relationships and delivering high-quality accounting services. This individual will be responsible for team performance, quality control, workflow management, client engagement profitability, and the development of team members.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee a team of 3–5 accountants, ensuring engagements are completed accurately and on timeReview client work for accuracy, consistency, and qualityOversee the profitability of client engagementsIdentify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional services to existing clientsTrain, mentor, and develop team membersManage team workflow and resources to meet client deadlinesServe as a technical resource for accounting and technology-related issuesBuild and improve processes to increase efficiency and qualityProvide strategic accounting insights and guidance to clients and internal teamsQualifications & Experience7–10 years of accounting experience preferredExperience working within a mid-sized CPA or accounting firm preferred3–5 years of people management or leadership experience preferredExperience preparing and consolidating financial statements and financial reportsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong client-service mindset and ability to build trusted relationshipsProficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms, including QuickBooks Online and XeroFamiliarity with platforms and tools such as Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, A2X, Bill.com, and GustoDemonstrated ability to build processes and drive operational efficiencyBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredCPA strongly preferred; Master's degree or MBA preferredExperience with e-commerce, SaaS, real estate, inventory management, or internal controls is a plusIdeal CandidateDriven, accountable, and results-orientedStrong people leader who enjoys coaching and developing othersGrowth-minded and receptive to feedbackComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output environmentTechnology-oriented and comfortable leveraging modern accounting toolsStrong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and qualityClient-focused with the ability to provide strategic guidance and identify additional opportunitiesCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $110,000–$140,000 annually + performance bonusComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with employer match after one yearPaid parental leaveFully remote work environmentUnlimited PTO after first yearCompany-paid holidaysTeam-building events and virtual activitiesCareer development and internal advancement opportunitiesNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
