Production Helper

The Production Helper supports a busy aerospace manufacturing shop by keeping the facility clean, organized, and well supplied. You will move materials and parts throughout the shop, assist CNC machinists and other team members, perform general labor tasks, and help with basic machine upkeep to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

Responsibilities

• Bring materials and supplies to CNC machinists, mechanics, assemblers, and other team members on the shop floor.
• Move parts and raw materials quickly and safely throughout the facility to support production needs.
• Perform general labor tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and maintaining a clean and orderly shop environment.
• Clean large machines and surrounding areas to support safe and efficient operation.
• Assist with simple shop duties such as moving parts between work areas and staging materials.
• Operate a forklift, once trained if needed, to move raw materials and components.
• Help with basic machine upkeep, including checking coolant levels and filling coolants into machines as directed.
• Support occasional light mechanical tasks under direction from more experienced team members.
• Follow all safety procedures, cleanliness standards, and shop rules to maintain an organized and safe work environment.
• Work at a consistent, quick pace while remaining accurate, safe, and attentive to detail.

Work Environment

This position is based in an aerospace manufacturing environment with a busy machine shop and production floor. You will work on 2nd shift in a setting that includes CNC machines, fabrication equipment, grinders, and other mechanical tools. The work involves frequent movement around the shop, handling materials, and working near large machinery, coolants, and production processes. The pace is quick, and the environment emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, with regular sweeping, mopping, and machine cleaning as part of daily operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Long Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
