Position 10-month contract (mid-August - early-June) Additionalsummer hoursavailablethroughCCDSummer CampHours based on program needs (30 -40 hours per week) Additionalhours may be available through our Extended Day programs Salarycommensuratewith that of a teacher assistant Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required (degree in early childhood education preferred) Meets qualifications for licensure in Ohio or educational aide certification Proven ability to work with young children (minimum 3 years teaching experience preferred) Perform essential functions of the position which include the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, and lift up to 25 pounds Commitment to the school’s virtues, mission, and professional standards Clear understanding of high-quality teaching and learning Excellent written and oral communication skills Willingness to be a visible and involved participant in and supporter of the school community Skill and comfort working collaboratively and productively with all constituencies within the school community Experience collaborating with colleagues around lesson development, classroom management, student assessment, and differentiation Certifications in: First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, Child Abuse, and the ODE Orientation Training for Preschool and School Age Child Care (SACC) Staff Member Strong candidates will have experience with Project-based learning Literacy and mathematics instruction for young learners Social-emotional Learning Differentiation Understanding of documenting children’s learning through photos, videos, dictation, and digital portfolios Interested candidates should email a resume and cover letter to Kathi Bagnoli, director of pre-primary, View email address on click.appcast.io .
