Medical Laboratory Scientist

Pride Health is hiring a Local Medical Laboratory Scientist - to support our client's healthcare team in Irving, TX.


Job Details:
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 2am -10:30am (40 Hours/Week)
Location: Irving, TX 75063
Job Type: contract to hire
Contract Length: 11 Week/s
Pay Range: $35 - $40/hour
Weekly gross pay is based on a taxable hourly wage and daily lodging and meals & incidentals stipends based on USA GSA guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen processing, testing, and analysis per laboratory SOPs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Review, verify, and release accurate patient results.
• Complete QC, calibration, maintenance, and testing documentation.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety standards.
• Process proficiency testing samples according to protocols.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and escalate as needed.
• Report STAT and critical results per department procedures.
• Maintain reagent, test kit, and inventory logs.
• Participate in training, audits, inspections, and quality initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Provide professional support to clients and internal teams.

Must-Have Requirements:

• ASCP or AMT certification/eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
• Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or Laboratory Science
• Must meet 42 CFR 493.1433 qualifications
• High-complexity clinical lab experience if required based on degree
• National/state licensure , if applicable
• IERF credential evaluation for foreign-educated candidates
• Official transcripts for U.S.-educated candidates
• Experienced Hematology Technologists preferred.
