RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ENGINEERING MANAGER * Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a high-performance, innovative culture * Conduct regular 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, and support career development * Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent * Drive rapid, iterative delivery using Agile/Scrum methodologies * Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy * Champion proof-of-concepts and evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation * Build and maintain strong relationships with Product, Design, Business, and Executive stakeholders * Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused communication * Review code and provide technical guidance to the team * Balance speed with quality while maintaining sustainable pace * Drive urgency and maintain momentum on key initiatives * Remove blockers, manage capacity planning, and optimize delivery processes PREFERRED EXPERIENCE FOR THE ENGINEERING MANAGER * 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding skills * 4+ years managing software engineering teams in on-shore, near-shore, and offshore environments * Proficiency in modern programming languages - React, Javascript, TypeScript, NodeJS * Advanced proficiency with AWS * Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design * Solid grasp of CI/CD, testing strategies, and DevOps practices * Excellent communication skills across all levels (written, verbal, presentations) * Familiarity with offline-first architecture and IoT integration a plus Timing is everything.
