Senior Principal, Business Consulting - Manufacturing Sector Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Detroit, MI, Indianapolis, IN, Milwaukee, WI, Seattle, WA State / Region / Province Country USA Requisition ID: 147505BR Role Description Infosys Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Business Consultant to leverage our varied horizontal offerings and deliver value to our Manufacturing clients (primarily focused on new and existing client‑based Industrial sector, Automotive, and Aerospace & Defense). The role requires up to 100% travel and onsite work depending on client location. Deep understanding of the manufacturing domain and experience managing consulting engagements with a team of consultants delivering strategy, roadmap, business case development, and business process improvements across any part of the manufacturing value chain. Experience in emerging technologies (Data and Analytics, Gen AI, ML, DL, Blockchain, MES, HMI, Wi‑Fi & 5G mobility, IoT & Analytics Platforms, hyperscaler platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Responsibilities Client Management, Program and Project Leadership and Delivery, People Development, Business Development and Manufacturing Thought Leadership. Business development experience working with client teams to generate and cross‑sell consulting projects, develop industry solutions within Manufacturing, design sales approach, define target client management, create and deliver client pitches and proposals, develop sales campaigns and manage the sales lifecycle from lead identification through closing and revenue recognition (3–5 years of experience). Lead proposal development process – independently organize, develop pursuits with cross‑unit pursuit teams, write high‑quality proposals, develop pricing strategies (3–5 years of experience). Lead and supervise project teams – structure engagements, mobilize teams, manage teams in designing strategy & roadmaps, capability definition, solution design, guide business requirements, functional design, process design, prototyping, piloting, and review detailed project plans. Mentor, coach, and develop consultants; participate in firm‑level initiatives for hiring, training and coaching; build strong interpersonal relationships within a matrix organization. Interact confidently with senior leadership (SVP/VP/SMD/MD/ED) and IT & OT leaders (COO, CDO, CIO, CTO, VP, Director) to present capabilities, credentials and value propositions; deliver and lead oral presentations, anchor business/IT & OT workshops. Demonstrate excellent client relationship management, executive presence, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Practice development experience: identify and focus on the impact of “information management, data and analytics” trends, identify use cases, stay current with best practices, define consulting offers and solutions, lead coaching and training, build team of practitioners. Knowledge of Manufacturing industry, trends and practices. Experience with transformation programs and specialization in any part of manufacturing operations, preference for industrial manufacturing or Defense sector. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. 15+ years of relevant work experience with at least 3 years in comparable consulting services. Live within 2 hours’ drive time of one of the Infosys hub offices – Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Seattle, WA, or be willing to relocate to one. Authorized to work in the United States without employer‑based visa sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications 12+ years combined manufacturing industry and management consulting experience. Minimum 2 years of business development experience, including lead identification, pre‑sales and post‑sales support, and client relationship management. Minimum 8 years delivering major transformation initiatives for Global Fortune 500 companies. Experience building competencies in the Manufacturing sectors: ERP Transformation (S/4 Hana, Oracle for Manufacturing), Supply Chain Management, Engineering/PLM, AI for Manufacturing.
