Location: Amarillo, Texas
Pay: $43–$48 per hour

Are you a Cost Specialist, Cost Engineer or Project Controls professional who knows how to turn project financial data into accurate reporting, reliable forecasts and better project decisions?

We are hiring an experienced Cost Specialist in Abernathy, Texas to support project cost controls in a complex construction environment. This position is well suited for someone with experience in data centers, EPC, industrial construction, energy, oil & gas or other large-scale construction environments.

Data center experience and Power BI experience are strongly preferred.

What You Will Do

· Develop, maintain and analyze weekly project cost reports

· Prepare labor productivity and progress reporting

· Track indirect labor, equipment rentals, subcontractors and other project expenditures

· Support change orders, budget revisions, trends, and contingency tracking.

· Develop cost forecasts and identify potential budget impacts before they occur

· Maintain project budgets and cost data

· Audit payroll coding and labor allocations for accuracy

· Reconcile discrepancies and validate project financial data

· Support EVM reporting and project performance analysis

· Coordinate with procurement, accounting, payroll and billing teams

What You Bring

· At least 1 year of cost-control experience

· Experience in project controls, cost control, cost management, project management or change management

· Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

· Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, earned value management and cost reporting

· Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment

· Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional project teams

Experience with data centers, EPC, industrial construction, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical or heavy construction is strongly preferred. Power BI, EVM, change-order administration and labor productivity reporting are also valuable.
