\n \nRole Description
\nThe EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of advanced environmental, health, and safety management systems. This role focuses on high-level regulatory compliance, complex risk assessments, and the mentorship of junior team members. The incumbent will lead cross-functional safety initiatives, manage critical environmental programs, and act as a subject matter expert to ensure operational excellence and a proactive safety culture effective across all assigned locations.

- Serve as a centralized EHS resource to provide consistent guidance and oversight for multiple manufacturing locations. \n
- Standardize safety policies, SOPs, and training programs to ensure uniformity in safety culture and compliance across all company facilities. \n
- Coordinate and lead cross-site audits to identify potential risks and share best practices between locations. \n
- Oversee complex environmental programs, including air permitting, hazardous waste management, and stormwater protection for all assigned sites. \n
- Manage and coordinate regulatory inspections and communications with EPA, OSHA, and state/local agencies across all operational jurisdictions. \n
- Provide mentorship and functional guidance to site-level safety leads. \n
- Lead high-level incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for serious incidents across multiple sites. \n
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance leadership at each facility to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental metrics. \n
- Travel required up to 30% as needed \n

Qualifications
\n- \n
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with experience applying regulatory requirements in manufacturing or industrial environments. \n
- Expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) program development, implementation, and continuous improvement, including policy creation and risk management. \n
- Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning to reduce incidents and improve safety culture. \n
- Experience designing and delivering EHS Training for diverse employee groups, including onboarding, refresher, and job-specific safety instruction. \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience. \n
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant state/local regulations; experience with audits, inspections, and permitting processes. \n
- Ability to analyze EHS data, prepare reports and dashboards, and communicate findings clearly to leaders and frontline teams. \n
- Experience supporting chemical manufacturing, coating, converting, printing, or industrial process operations preferred. \n
- Knowledge of hazardous chemicals, solvent handling, wastewater systems, and industrial ventilation systems is a plus. \n
