Location: Owings Mills MD (Hybrid, 2 Days Onsite)


Duration: 12 Months + Extensions

Pay Range: $60/hr. - $65/hr. on W2

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator to support and maintain enterprise messaging and integration infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of middleware / enterprise messaging experience
• Strong IBM MQ administration
• Hands-on IBM ACE administration/support
• Linux/Unix experience
• MQ troubleshooting
• MQ security, SSL/TLS and certificates
• Production support / incident management
• MQ upgrades, patches and migrations
• Scripting/automation
• Hybrid/cloud MQ exposure

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM MQ environments across development, test, staging, and production.
• Manage queue managers, queues, channels, listeners, and MQ objects.
• Administer and support IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), including integration servers, message flows, BAR files, and deployments.
• Monitor MQ/ACE environments for availability, performance, capacity, and operational health.
• Troubleshoot and resolve messaging, connectivity, channel, message delivery, and integration issues.
• Perform upgrades, patches, fix packs, migrations, and environment maintenance.
• Implement MQ security, including SSL/TLS, authentication, authorization, certificates, and access controls.
• Support high availability, clustering, cloud/hybrid environments, and containerized deployments.
• Develop scripts and automation for operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and production teams on integration requirements.
• Participate in production incidents, root-cause analysis, and on-call support.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and procedures.
