Irish Language Instructor

Job Summary Irish Arts Center is looking to hire an experienced Irish Language Instructor to teach online courses in total beginner to advanced beginner level Irish for Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027 education terms. Students are adult learners with little to no experience of Irish and seek a basic introduction to vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and practical conversational use. Compensation Online classes: $65–70 per hour In‑person classes: $70–75 per hour Classes are 1.5 hours long, 8 weeks per term. Total commitment is 4.5 hours per week. Responsibilities / Essential Functions Plan and teach three 90‑minute classes focused on vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, and conversation for total beginner to advanced beginners. Communicate with students and IAC staff as needed to ensure program success. Share class resources and recordings with students via the Zoom platform and email. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years teaching Irish Language, preferably to adult learners. Accreditation in Irish Language Instruction. Experience teaching online via Zoom. Knowledge of the Irish language community in New York City. Working Requirements Position is both in‑person and remote; on‑site attendance may be required at management discretion. Requires U.S. work authorization and participation in E‑Verify.
