Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiologic Technologist for a tertiary care hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience and NY license in hand.

Details

• Tertiary care hospital with 528 staffed beds
• Interventional Radiology unit performing vascular, neuro, and genitourinary procedures
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM or 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekday call one shift per week from 5:30/6:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning, Monday-Thursday
• Rotating weekend call from Friday 5:30/6:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Candidates will float
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NY state license required in hand for consideration (license required if applicable)
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with abdominal/pelvic and genitourinary procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placement, and biopsy preferred
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
• Skilled in equipment set up, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, aortography, chemoembolization, ERCP, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Perform genitourinary studies and procedures such as cholecystostomy, cystoscopy, gastrostomy, nephrostomy, and ureteral stent placement
• Scrub color is any combination of navy and white
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
• Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Returning staff must wait 6 months system-wide before reapplying
• First-time travelers will be considered
