Job Overview The Guest Service Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, providing directions, answering inquiries, handling claim checks, shuttling guests, and maintaining accurate guest folios. Compensation & Schedule Hourly base pay of $10.98 per hour plus $5–$10 per hour in tips. Work schedule consists of AM, PM, overnight, and weekend shifts. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits. Essential Functions Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, coworkers, and clients (approx. 25%). Use proper greeting etiquette and professional phone etiquette when interacting with guests (approx. 10%). Park and retrieve vehicles safely while operating the vehicle slowly and cautiously (approx. 10%). Assist guests with luggage, bell services, and luggage storage; open vehicle and hotel doors for guests (approx. 10%). Provide directions, taxi, reservation, and other inquiries; deliver messages, items, or guest amenities; shuttle guests to approved locations (approx. 20%). Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue and collect claim checks; manage ticket information and claim check receipts; calculate and collect revenue when required (approx. 35%). Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Valid driver’s license in the state of employment. Minimum one month of related experience and/or training. Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes. Basic reading, writing, and communication skills in English. Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers up to three digits and amounts in U.S. dollars. Understanding of 24‑hour and military time systems; understanding of applicable rates. Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking is highly desirable. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Regular requirement to talk or hear; maintain standing or sitting for extended periods; occasional or frequent lifting up to 100 pounds. Work may be performed outdoors in extreme heat and cold weather; protection from weather may be provided. Travel of up to 5% may be required.
